Waiting for you
and then I felt your kiss, I could wait forever for you.
Can't stop lovin you!!!
Let's walk in Paradise!
Attitude of Silence
I care for you so deeply
my heart beats for your slightest touch.
Your voice sings to me so sweetly
That I want to be with you ever so much.
I think about you always,
sometimes with concern and despair.
I want to mean something to you
No matter what the heartache I may bare.
You have this aura about you,
that makes me go weak in the knees.
I get so nervous around you,
It's hard to keep these butterflies at ease.
Your eyes reach deep inside me,
This is why I try to hide.
I fear that you'll see everything
opening my heart up even more wide.
When your breath caresses my lips
And our bodies are intertwined,
I can't help but feel your heart pounding,
wanting these moments to be only mine.
I quietly absorb pangs of this love-ring
As images reoccur at dusk, so brightly
To you I would graciously give everything,
If it was me you could smile for so heartily.
I'm not asking you to give me your everything,
Just an honest guy I want to be.
To hold you and kiss you and love you,
To take all your hurt and set it free.
Thinking of you...baby!
I think about you when I think of home.
I think about you when I am sane,
I think about you to vanquish my pain.
I think about you when I sleep,
I think about you when I’m counting sheep.
I think that you are my soul’s own cure.
I think my heart has found its lure.
I think about you when thunder rolls
I think about you when the devil tolls.
I long to feel your heart near mine.
Ours beats closer to harmonious time.
I think all thoughts are better with you,
A bonding of souls that seems utterly true.
I think about you as the moments flow
I think I can’t imagine ever letting you go.
I think I like your eyes on me,
But can’t really fathom what you see.
Know that sometimes storms do still tremor my heart,
But my love for you can’t be torn all apart.
I think talking to you all the night long
Is really a walk filled with moon song.
I’d lay not too quietly there by your side,
A gentle seashore, softly embraced by the tide.
I think about you when I’m at play,
I think about you when you’re away.
I think of you, feeding me food
I think of you, glowing in nude
I think about you when I dream of grace,
Haloed by sweet virtues in so hard a place.
I think every passing with the tell of your day,
Unquivers my heart’s arrows to fire away.
You are a star that knows my true name,
A partner in love to teach me the game.
Numbers know no poets that keep steady rhyme.
But numbers of words are still to come forth in time.
Silent tears
love without loss
I cannot fathom such a feeling
yet I long for it with you
And that longing is like a thousand deaths.
And as I long to be released from that pain,
I know it will never happen
because to be released from that pain
would mean being released from you,
and the pain of that is death in itself
So for the time I have left I will lie in
Your arms, hiding the pain that wells up
Inside and the pain that accompanies holding
Back the tears, and hope and pray you don't
Wake up, and catch me with those tears in my eyes...
The tears in my eyes that come from loving you.
Tonga on the Turnpike
When pals beckon!
I got hit sans any warning
It was the most gentle jolt
That left me in much revolt
Friendship comes to us like that
You can’t even hear the splat
It is like falling in love
First love, next love, last love
To laugh and lope and cry
Always the shoulder to try
Like we learn tact with gals
We often fathom honor from pals
It is tough to let them go
You bond to them like morning snow
As birds soul-kiss upon the bough
A buddy snugs your senses and how
We may grow in time and order
The heart knows no such border
To evolve in such a beautiful blend
Is what they call being a friend!
In your Soul
Lets stand in the light
not in the shadow
When will we stop playing these games?
You can cry sometimes
when something breaks inside
Tell me about the moments of fear
It is much easier to be afraid together
'And when cold winds rage outside
I'll send hot fire through you
Someday you may stop running between the shadows
In your soul
The lonesome tree
Let's say that I was born in Kashmir, a little over twenty-seven autumns back. It was the season of fall, my folks tell me, and the countryside was strewn with light hues of crimson. It is that time of the year when the Oriental plane -- Chinar -- looks its best. Stark and naked, it sheds its rusty foliage. The crisp orange leaves cover the beauteous landscape like one continuous Oriental rug. Legend has it that plane is the tree of Hippocrates, under which Hippocrates taught medicine in ancient Greece during the Age of Pericles. Booune, as plane is locally called, has always been the emblem of Kashmir.
Reminds me of the poet-philosopher Sir Mohammad Iqbal – of Kashmiri ancestry -- who in his wistful style waxed eloquent about the valley:
Jis khaak ke zameer me ho aatish-e-chinar
Mumkin nahi ki sarad ho voh khaak-e-arjamand
The land that has in its conscience the spark of Chinar
Thy celestial dust won’t douse yet
[My Translation]
The romance with Chinar that started with the widely respected Iqbal has carried on. The lanky and erudite – loved and hated in equal parts – Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdullah (Farooq Abdullah’s dad) called his autobiography ‘Aatish-e-Chinar’. The book bagged the 1988 Sahitya Academy award – India’s most outstanding literary achievement. Even a hugely repulsed bloke in Kashmir like Rushdie couldn’t resist it. He calls a central character in his latest book, Shalimar the Clown, Booune. Sir Salman, of Kashmiri ancestry knows the significance -- of the odd plane -- cannot be lost even in an era of hatred and intense heartache.
Poets and kings have admired the plane tree alike. The Mughal Emperor Akbar who annexed and visited the valley for the first time in 1579 fondly mentions Chinar in his memoir Akbar Nama. Booune is found mentioned in the 14th century mystic-poetess-princess Lal Ded’s saintly wakhs (poems).
Booune has been a lonesome witness to the vicissitudes of Kashmir’s fluctuating fortune and its prized possession by rulers of various stripe – cruel and benign: from the Buddhist ruler Asoka the Great, who founded the city of Srinagar in 250 BC to the various Hindu Kings, who followed him. From the mid-12th century Muslim blitzkrieg in Kashmir right upto harsh reign of the 19th century Dogra feudatories, Chinar perhaps remains the sole spectator to happenstance of everything Kashmiri.
In the olden times, the natives used to collect the plane leaves in heaps and transform them into charcoal for use in the Kangris (fire pots that Kashmiris fight the intense winter with). Not now! Not in the time of blowers and braziers. Not definitely in an age of guns. I think the romance is fading. Like everything Kashmiri, the Booune is fast dying. There was a time when every village and hamlet had scores of the graceful huge tree. Only 19,000 remain now. The systematic ruin of Kashmir seems to have pervaded onto its Chinars.
Az Jehangir Dame Naza Chi Justand
Ba Khahishi Dil Guft
Kashmir Diger Hech
On his deathbed, the 17th century Mughal Emperor of India, Jehangir was asked by his royal courtiers as to what he wished in the hereafter. With a heavy heart and in a feeble, dying voice, the poet-king replied: Nothing but a heaven as beautiful and soul refreshing as Kashmir.
Romance
People hurt us at times but you need to trust them. We need to be loving. And love. However one doesn’t need to make grand statements to be able to be romantic.
My romance
doesn’t have to have a moon in the sky
My romance
doesn’t need a blue lagoon standing by
No month of May
No twinkling stars
No hideaway
No soft guitar
My romance
doesn’t need a castle rising in Spain
Nor a dance
to a constantly surprising refrain
Wide awake
I can make my most fantastic dreams come true
My romance
doesn’t need a thing but you
When I am dead
sing no sad songs for me
As my souls flees away
dig no crosses for me
When I am lowered, my dearest
hold no hands for me
As my echoes wear out
read no praises for me
When the lights go off, my dearest
lit no candles for me
As my casket shows no more
drop no tears for me
When the gusts go strong, my dearest
breathe no gasps for me
As my being blurs away
leave no sighs for me
When the spring breaks again, my dearest
Watch me in the cowslips, by my grave
Hindus and Muslims: The reality!
and expressions are familiar
When our food is the same
and we love the identical game
When the air is very akin
and so is the color of our skin
When people always live side by side
and our laughter is so allied
When we share the same fears
and there is no difference in our tears
When our culture is cognate
and celebrations get too ornate
When we are taught the same books
and possess indistinguishable looks
When the hearts beat in unison
and the lips move without reason
It gets difficult for a while
when Shahrukh and Amitab smile
to tell their cognomen
Hey blokes...Love thy countrymen!
One fine day
How hurting
This chewing mindtrip
How very chafing
It scantly matters
If thy heart cries
None to tread on
Only the wilder skies
Kins and gals
Can be a pain
Your loving feelings
Can go down the drain
One must never adore
Too much a love
With barbs flying high
How can ye expect a dove
Me, no more of that vision
I bawl slowly, in seclusion.
Lovely rains
And the plants withered in size
As the mercury refused to slip
Life longed for a long dip
The sun smiled its way
And the airs lost their day
Then ...God's finger touched a white
Water's poured by His might
It rained a beautiful rain
On the mountains, forests & my lane
An airy feeling crossed us all
The orchads and fruits had had a ball
Spunks warmed and the sods sang
I could smell the earthly tang
Far away...A petite lil gal drenched her mane
Hopping along the hills, somewhere in that rain.
My friend
As the oceans and mountains part us
Hold on to my rhymes
As the flowers hold the truss
You are there and I lay here
Dabbling all alone
Ye are far, yet so near
Mingled in my tune
Had I wings, I would fly
Hover in the land of kings
for you, on the sly
I can hear ye speak with that charm
The affection that keeps hearts so warm ...
Come back now you affable lil swain
But for you, it won't snow and it won't rain.
Shah Rukh wants Ganguly to lead his team
Having bagged the bid for the Kolkata team, actor Shah Rukh Khan said he would like to see former India captain Sourav Ganguly lead the outfit in the Indian Premier League.
Shah Rukh, along with fellow-actor Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta, won the bid for the Kolkata team for a whopping US $75.09 million and said he would seek suggestions of experts before putting together a winning combination.
Mukesh Ambani, Mallya, SRK win IPL bids
The high-profile Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday an overwhelming response with some of India's top industrialists like Mukesh Ambani and Vijay Mallya and film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta winning bids to own teams in the Twenty20 venture.
After a prolonged suspense, BCCI vice president and chairman of the IPL governing council Lalit Modi on Thursday disclosed the names of the winning bidders, who shelled out staggering amounts to be owner of the city-based teams.
Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani pipped Vijay Mallya to win the bid for the Mumbai team for $111.9 million. The liquor baron, however, won the bid for the Bangalore team for $111.6 million. Actor Shah Rukh Khan, joining hands with Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta, won the bid for the Kolkata team for $75.09 million.
Fellow actor Preity Zinta and her boy friend Ness Wadia won the bid for the Mohali team for $76 million.
Among others, GMR Holdings won the bid for the Delhi team ($84 million), India Cements bagged the Chennai team ($ 91 million), Deccan Chronicle bid successfully for the Hyderabad ($107.01 million) outfit and Emerging Media won the bid for the Jaipur team for $67 million.
The bids of the ICICI, Sahara and Futures Group were disqualified, Modi said. "We can say that all the hard work fructified and the IPL is here to stay," Modi said.
Asked if Shah Rukh was bidding just to use cricket as a means to promote his films, Modi said, "Shah Rukh loves cricket and that's why he invested his money. It has got nothing to do with film promotion.
"We have heard similar complaint in the past but the Board never endorsed those views," he said. He also dismissed suggestions that there was a conflict of interests in Indian Cement, which has BCCI treasurer N Srinivasan as a shareholder, becoming a team owner.
"Mr Srinivasan is just a stakeholder there and he is not the owner. So there is no such conflicts of interests," he said. Modi admitted some of the contracted international players would skip the twenty20 tournament, which begins on April 18 owing to national commitments but said the pool was big enough.
"A team needs only four players from abroad and we already have a huge number of them contracted with us. You will have enough of them from the day one," he said.
In all, 59 matches would be played over 44 days with ICC umpires officiating the games, which would be broadcast live on SET Max, Modi said.
"We already have 80 contracted players and their auction would start soon," Modi said. Each franchise would consult with the IPL governing council before naming the teams and discussing revenue sharing, he said.
ICC's anti-doping and anti-corruption units would also keep an eye on the Twenty20 league, Modi said. Asked if the base price of $50 million was too high, he said, "It's upto the bidders to decide if the base price was high. Since the winning bid proved much more than the base price, you can't really say that it was too high."

Injured Shah Rukh attends protege's film premiere
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned to support his friend and protege Nikhil Diwvedi who makes his debut in the released 'The My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves'.
Not only has the superstar been supporting Nikhil's starry dreams, he has also been making sure the wannabe is seen in public places with the superstar.
After making his presence felt at the music release of the film, Shah Rukh showed up at the film's premiere on Wednesday night with his leg obviously in pain.
The star had injured his leg while rehearsing his steps for the Screen awards.
'It was really very nice of him,' said Nikhil. 'The injury was an old one. But he hurt himself in the same leg while rehearsing for his performance at the awards.'
Shah Rukh couldn't stay for the whole film. But promised to catch up with 'Anthony Gonsalves' in a couple of days.
Salman Khan unveils his wax statue in Madame Tussauds
The actor had all the praise for the statue and appreciated the hard work that has gone into to its making.
"I have just started painting and I know how difficult it is to get something so perfect. The talent, the patience, the hard work which has gone into this sculpture, is phenomenal," said Salman.
The crowd went into a frenzy when the actor got down from his car.
"I think he is gorgeous and best bachelor around at the moment," said Maria.
Echoing similar sentiments was another fan of Salman who was keen to hug him.
"He is fantastic, even his presence on the screen is fantastic. His eyes, his body are just fantastic I just want to hug him," said Deepa.
In the race to reach the famous waxwork museum of Madame Tussauds, Salman beat nine other mega stars - including Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan, Lata Mangeshkar and Abhishek Bachchan, after a public poll conducted last summer.
The wax statue of Salman Khan stands in a special Bollywood section alongside those of three other actors - Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan.

naya safar (episode-1)
hotel ke saamne sadak ke us par nazar aate samundar se mulaqat ka irada tha,
mausam suhana, sham thi aadhi aur chand bhi aadha tha,
lehre
aur hawa bhi usse sur milakar koi sargam ga rahi thi,
aaj tak likhne ke liye na jaane kitne hi khayali sagar ke khayali k
par aaj jaise ki saare khayal haqeeqat ban saamne aaye ha
thandi hawa me
me
kitni hi baar is kudrat ke i'jaazon ne shayaron ko haraya hai,
par kayi baar ye kudrat mujhse hai haari,
aur is baar bhi meri koshish rahegi jaari….
kami...
saahil par ghumte hue achanak haathon me
aise haseen mahual me
door timtimati kashtiyon aur baadalon se athkheliyan karte chand ki oar kiye gaye ishare ki kami mehsoos hui,
tanha thake ghumte hue aise hi sar tikane ko ek sahare ki kami mehsoos hui,
kabhi kabhi is dimag me
par kai baar kitne hi is dil me
yahi to is j
kabhi khubsoorat khwab ha
Doorie...
Kehte hai suraj aag ugalta hai,
par shayad wo humse door hai isliye sham s
Chand chakor se meelon door hai,
par shayad uske
Nazdikiyan khusoorat hoti ha
par har rishte me
Dhool...
sabke liye sab waisa hi hai, wakai kuch bhi to nahi badla,
par shayad ye bas j
aur ab dikh raha hai aage ka ek lamba safar aur ek aur padav agla,
kuch waqt ke liye ek nayi duniya ki sair ki,
par wo bas ek khubsoorat sham thi jisse pehle ek bahut lambi dopahar thi,
wo raat baki raaton ki tarah kali andheri nahi taaron se saji kuch khubsoorat rishton ki panah thi,
j
kitne hi haseen lamhe
kitne hi haseen khwab sanjo gayi,
aur isliye shayad wo kuch jada hi gehri neend me
ab hakeekat ne jhakjhor kar uthaya hai,
aur is padav ko chod aage badne ko ek lamba raasta dikhaya hai,
par is baar vidai samaroh me
waise to is waqt wo hote b
aur unhe
par ye bas unki ek galatfehmi ka saya hai,
wo jaanti hai ki khudke saath usne ashkon ko bhi dard pahunchaya hai,
ab shayad kisi bhi rishte ka uske baare me
par shayad wo har rishte ki harek soch se waqif hai,
aane wali subah ki roshni me
aur aane wali dopahar me
par isi ka naam to j
saans ka kya hai na jaane kitni hi baar is tarah thami hai,
har baar ek naya ehsaas mehsoos kiya hai,
aur har baar kuch naye rishton ko us bakse me
han shayad jaate hue kisi ko dard pahunchane wali aise baate
par ye bhi sach hai ki dhool lagne se cheeze
Mehfooz....
paani ki ek boond ki tarah kisi sagar me
mujhe ek phool ki tarah baki phoolon ke sath kyari ko mehkana hai
lal rang ki tarah akaash ke neele rang me
mujhe ek sitare ki tarah baki taron ke sath akaash ko sajana hai
kitne hi dost, kuch door kuch paas ha
ek bahut khubsoorat ehsaas apni us choti si duniya me
jab kisi rishte me
ya duniya ki bheed me
to apni wahi choti si duniya mera sabse mehfooz thikana hai
Old is Gold
aise hi bethe bethe dimag me
aur is baar humne kafila chidiya-ghar ki taraf badhaya,
bas pahunch gaye, par wahan dekhkar ticket ki lambi katar,
laga kah
par waqt par hi tickets mil gaye,
aur sabke thake hue chehre fir se khil gaye,
to ab hua hamari chidiya-ghar ki yatra ka agaaz,
aur ghuste hi dikhe khuda ke na jane kitne i'jaaz,(miracle)
duniya bhar ke hiran, giraaf, bandar, sher
chote bade rang birange panchiyon ke dher,
chalte chalte raaste me
wahan tha paani ke k
likha tha 'upar chadhna mana hai',
par aaj tak kabhi kisi ka kaha suna hai...
bas uske khambon ki daraaron ko andekha kar chad gaye upar,
raaste se jane walon ne bacchon ko kaha wo dekho beta hum jaise char aur janwar,
par shayad use hamara sar chadna pasand nahi aya,
to usne apne kamjor khambon ko jara sa hilaya,
humne socha isse pehle ki ye yah
behtar hai hum ise akela chod de,
utare, aage badhe kuch thake thode bhuke,
dheere dheere thoda chale thoda ruke,
fir jo mila thoda bahut khaya,
aur apne alsaaye josh ko jagaya,
ab purane kile ki baari thi,
aur sabki palke
socha chalo khandaron me
aur kah
par andar ghuste hi ek alag hi mausam tha,
gazab ka khubsoorat aur angrezi me
charon taraf ghaas ke hare kaaleen, phulon se bhare baag, lambe khajoor,
jannat ke is nazare ko dekhkar neend ne choda saath aur chada ek naya suroor,
ab to sone ka koi iraada na tha,
aur hamare paas waqt bhi jyada na tha,
waise to wo pandawon ka kila tha,par jaise wahan mughalon ka kabza tha,
itne saare anarkali aur shah-jahan ek sath dekhne ka aur hi maza tha,
waqt ki maar khayi aisi barkarar khubsooorti dekhkar armano ko rokna mumk
tabhi thodi door kuch chote dikhe j
aur bas upar pahunchte hi jaise haathon me
tabhi chaukidar ne awaz lagayi aur waqt yaad dilaya,
jab ek baar me
humne thodi aur mohalat mangi to usne ghadi dikha di,
bas fir un imaaraton se dobara milne ka wada kar humne wida li,
ab to na aankhon me
laut-te hue dimag me
Mera Basant
Jab dil me
itni khushi ek sath to koi bhi kaynaat na de...
jab tanha akele ho tab tanhayi se dar lagta hai
jab dost aise mil jaye
dimag ke khayalon ko kagaz par utarne ke liye shabdkosh me
aise phool to meri kyari me
is baar basant jaise mere liye hi aya hai
aur apne saath mere liye itna kuch laya hai
kuch dost aise hote ha
fir j
par doston aur waqt me
unka saath ho to waqt ki narazagi lazmi si hai
mujhe malo
par kam se kam is basant ka ehsaas aane wale patjhad ko bitane me
kyun na
aur aane wale waqt ka hisab
(mera ihsaas bayan kare aise koi tasveer nahi mili...is aashuftaah ke liye maafi chahti hun)
Mausam Hai Ashiqana
Humne to dubkar wafa ki, par aap to bewafa sanam nikle
Aapne to hume
Hum dube the tanhayi ke andhere me
Humne aapse dil se mohabbat ki, aur aap hum par karne sitam nikle
Aapne hume
...Dekha Hai
saahil par ghumte hue, suraj ko dhalte dekha hai
aasman ke laal rang ko sagar ke nile rang me
ek chote se ghonsle me
us gore mukhde par gulabi chunar ko lipte dekha hai
thandi hawa ko unche ch

shama ke pyar me
log dubta hua suraj dekhte ha
