matlab (selfishness)-the truth

kahe abhi is duniya me matlab ka matlab hi samjha jata he,
or kisi ko kya dekhe bas apna matlab hi dekha jata he,

yaha har insaaan matlab ki saanse leta he,
matlab ke liye hi jita he matlab par hi marta he,

yaha jyadatar bhagwan nahi matlab hi pooja jata he,
sachai ka naam nahi matlab ka hi gun gaya jata he,

hal bura he uska yaha 'abhi' jo sach kehta he,
dil ko na dekhe koi bas matlab hi dekha jata he,

kadam kadam par fareb yaha apno ka roop le leta he,
meri nazron se dekho to swartha yahi kehlata he........

matlab=swartha= selfishness
--
abhi-ek tanha dil

kuchh yu kaha fizaon ne mujhse samet lo hume apni bahon me,
mene kaha he ye mazboori meri,
ki bahon me sametne ko manzile bahut he rahon me

Saawan bhi mera tum ho

Saawan bhi mera tum ho,Meri piyas bhi tum ho
Sehra ke badalon main,Chupi aas bhi tum ho

Tum yun to bohat door, bohat door ho mujh se
Ehsaas yeh hota hai, mere pass bhi tum ho

Har zakham ki aghosh main hai dard tumhara
Har dard main taskeen ka ehsaas bhi tum ho

Kho jao to veeran si ho jati hain raahen
Mil jao to phir Khizar bhi,Ilyaas bhi tum ho

Likhti hon to tum hi utartay ho qalam se
Parhti hon to " Al-Hamd " se " Wan-nass " bhi tum ho

nEver cry for any ONe who Makes you CRY :

Once, there was this guy, who was in love with a gal. She wasn't the most beautiful and
gorgeous but for him, she was everything.
He used to dream about her, about spending the rest of life with her. His friends told him,
"Why do you dream so much about her, when you don't even know if she loves you or not?
First tell her your feelings, and get to know if she likes you or not".
He felt that was the right way. The girl knew from the beginning, that this guy loves her.
One day when he proposed, she rejected him.
His friends thought he would take to alcohol; drugs etc. and ruin his life.
To their surprise, he was not depressed.
When they asked him how was it that he is not sad, he replied,
"'why should I feel bad? I lost one who never loved me & she lost the one
who really loved and cared for her."
Last but not least " Love is not heart of life, it's a part of life"

Love At Sundown

As I walk the shoreline
The aroma of salt in the air
Feel the sand between my toes
Neither worry nor a care.

Thinking of you fondly
Wanting to be with you
Loving you so very much
Hope that you love me too.

The sea gulls dip in the waters
Seeking out their prey
The sun is slowly going down
Gone is a beautiful day.

Hear the waves rushing
Gentle breeze upon my face
Makes me want you even more
No one can take your place.

I'll sit awhile and ponder
Watch the day pass me by
Long for your presence beside me
While the sunset covers the sky.

Barish

Aazma kar dekho

dhoop me niklo ghataaon me naha kar dekho,

zindgi kya hai kitabo ko hata kar dekho

patthro me bhi dil hota hai, dard hota hai,

apne ghar ke daro deewar saja kar dekho.

faasla nazro ka dhokha bhi to ho sakta hai,

wo mile ya na mile haath badha kar dekho

wo sitara hai chamakne do usse aankoh me,

kya zaroori hai usse dil me basa kar dekho

zindgi kya hai kitabo ko hata kar dekho.....

Meri Ho Tum

Thaam lo Mera Ye Haath. . .
KabhI na duR jaane ke Liye. . .
Tere Ishq Mein Ye Kia raaz hai. . .
Teri Justuju har waqt karta Hai ye. dil. . .
tujhe paana Chahta hai ye dil. . .
har ik dua ki TameeL ho tum. . .
mera din meri raat ho tum. . .
pal pal mere paas ho tum. . .
har saans mein shamiL ik nayi saans ho tum. . .
bas mera ehsaas meri Jaan ho tum. . .
mere bas meri Ho tum.

mausam

tu ab bhi
baki hain mere
mausam me
kahin na kahin

woh pehli mulakat
ki yaad ab bhi thithur rahi hai
december ki sardi me

woh judai ka kissaa
bas sukh ke
shakh se tutne ko hi hai....

mud ane ka vada tera wahin kahin
loo ke thapedo me atka hua hai.....

teri tasveer ab bhi
meri ankkho ki barish bhig rahi hai

tujhko meri
murado ke mausam ki kasam hai aajaa
bhale na thahare
na sahi
ek bar khud ko in yadon se mita ja
yaro se kah diya hai maine
han main ab yeh gam ka mausam badal dungi..........

Most Wanted

For long, Dawood Ibrahim was the man whose name was synonymous with terror before many other able hands took over.

This man's importance cannot be over-stressed but it is said that the ISI shifted him out of the country for a few hours when the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was visiting Pakistan. (India has for long accused Pakistan of providing Dawood with shelter and Islamabad did not want an embarrassment when the prime minister was there for peace talks.)

Son of a police constable, Dawood first dabbled with petty crime before climbing the rungs of the Mumbai mafia. The 1993 blasts saw Dawood turn from smuggler and criminal to terrorist and traitor.

The ISI is accused of using him to orchestrate the serial blasts and ever since he has been declared a terrorist by the United States in 2005 and the United Nations has put him on a special list of few who are in contact with the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

Mumbai v New York: A tale of two cities

Consider this patch of humid land, sitting at the nation's edge, packed with people of all income levels, trying to make a go of it while more arrive every day. Real estate prices are ridiculous, the infrastructure crumbles regularly, the traffic is frequently thick and slow. And yet, it's the nation's financial capital as well as home to actors, writers, publishers and filmmakers responsible for much of the country's arts and entertainment.

I'm referring to Mumbai -- and also to New York.

Nisha Sondhe, a photographer who calls both cities home, is busy pairing them up in a multi-year visual project she calls Bombay v New York. At her online portfolio, visitors compare and contrast images of people, architecture and landscapes both here and there.

A Lexington Avenue construction worker in a yellow hardhat and white tee-shirt, his back to the camera, is twinned with two smiling sari-clad women, metal containers of broken rocks balanced on their heads. A picture of rows of Bombay duck on the beach precedes freshly hosed sides of beef in the Meatpacking District. A Sikh man in a crisp turban gazes out a suburban train window; a young woman wearing tell-tale white iPod earbuds sits in a subway car.

And so she shoots, on and on, making visual cultural connections from Coney Island and Chelsea to Koliwada and Crawford Market.

Good Day..!!

This photo is sooooo.. touching that I couldn't resist
myself in not waiting for a minute
before I send it to you ...!!
Have a nice day..!!

The Wonder Of You

I could feel the movement of your body
As we strolled across the floor,
You held me close and whispered
You're what I've been searching for.

You had eyes that sparkled like diamonds
A turned up nose and skin so fair
When we touched, it was like lightning,
Sparks flashed and flew everywhere.

We were lost in a world of our own
No one else was in the room,
We were holding each other close
Love was in progress about to bloom.

The music played softly
Lights were turned down low.
We were dancing together
Swaying, moving ever so slow.

Gently I kissed your lips
And whispered words so sincere,
You are my dream come true
Please stay, l always want you near.....

McGrath bids adieu to wife Jane

Jane McGrath, the English-born wife of former Australia fast bowler Glenn McGrath, was given an emotional farewell at her funeral on Wednesday.
Mourners, led by the Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and a number of Test cricketers including Shane Warne, Steve Waugh and Adam Gilchrist, crammed into the same Sydney church where Jane and Glenn were married almost a decade ago.
Hundreds of people lined the streets outside, standing in silence as her white coffin was carried into the 165-year-old colonial church and fighting back tears as the couple's two young children James and Holly released three white doves and blew soap bubbles into the air.
Alan Jones, an Australian broadcaster and former coach of the national rugby team, said Jane would be remembered as a woman of great courage whose tireless work in promoting breast cancer awareness was an enduring source of inspiration.
"Every day was a battle, yet paradoxically every day she sought to strengthen others in their same battle," he said.
Jane's best friend, Tracy Bevan, the wife of former Australia all-rounder Michael, struggled to contain her emotions as she addressed the congregation
Jane's death struck a raw nerve with the Australian public and sporting community. Her funeral service was broadcast live on national television and Australia's cricketers, currently on tour in the West Indies, wore pink ribbons on their shirts in her memory.
Glenn McGrath and his wife Jane started up their own foundation to raise money for cancer research and training nurses and were recognised for their charity work this year when they were appointed as Members of the Order of Australia.
Glenn returned to the team to help Australia regain the Ashes from England and win the World Cup for a third time in succession before announcing his retirement despite still being at the top of his game.

The Best Things In Life Are Free

I don't need big fancy cars
Or clothes that are the best
I like to keep things easy
I love to do a lot by spending less

I don't eat in the best restaurants
They don't impress me you see
Pizza and burger will do just fine
That's makes me happy as can be

It's simple things that make me happy
Like a walk along the beach
This is the happiness I know I have
So close within my reach

Walking past some flowers
People grow within their yards
Or reading a love poem
On a newly written greeting card

Or just going for a ride
With no destination
The windows down, the wind blowing
Oh what a great sensation

They say the best things in life are free
And I must agree
Look at all God has given us
And it's there for you and me

It doesn't cost a cent
But it's worth so much more
And all you have to do to see it
Is just walk out your front door

First Look: John becomes an angel

John Abraham, one of the hottest vegetarians in the country, supports the birds in his latest PETA ad.

Wearing huge angel wings, the actor proclaims, ' Be an angel for birds. Don't cage them.'

The ad is a shot taken from the music video of Pakistani pop sensation Strings' new release, Koi Aanay Wala Hai, where John plays an angel.

This isn't the first time John has teamed up with PETA to speak up for animals. He signed PETA's petition to ban elephants from urban areas, and wrote to the Goan government urging it to take action to stop the cruel and illegal backyard slaughter of pigs.

In 2005, Abraham shot another ad supporting birds, in which he appeared shirtless.

Singh is Kinng: The story in pictures

This year's eagarly-awaited romantic comedy, Singh is Kinng, revolves around a gang of crooks transformed by a good man and his selfless love for a pretty girl.

Lucky (Sonu Sood) is the 'king' of the Australian underworld. But far away, in his hometown in Punjab, there is someone even more notorious than him -- Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar). The village decides to send him on a long trip, and bring Lucky back to Punjab, as his despicable deeds are maligning their image in Australia.

The village bumpkin embarks on his journey, where he goes through a series of adventures, meets Lucky, and even manages to find time for love when he meets Sonia (Katrina Kaif). Singh Is Kinng is directed by Anees Bazmee of No Entry and Welcome fame.
Incidentally, the film found its title from the back of a truck!

Apparently, Akshay Kumar was driving through Jaipur when he spotted a truck with the words, Singh is King, printed at the back.

However, the film is not about any specific community. One of the highlights of the film is Snoop Dogg's number, which is part of the film's soundtrack.
The video will be shot in Los Angeles.

The title track of the film is rendered by Bombay Vikings' Neeraj Shridhar, and composed by Pritam.Katrina is apparently charmed by Egypt, where she shot a song with Akshay.

"It's among the most beautiful countries I have visited -- the pyramids, the temples and the landscape are exotic. I even enjoyed the barbecue dinner on a boat on the Nile. We shot in a number of places and I've come back with fond memories of my trip," she says.

The song, Jee Karda, was shot at 4 am everyday to capture the light.

The film is also shot in Punjab and Australia. After her recent flops like Ek Chalis Ki Last Local and Rama Rama Kya Hai Yeh Drama, Neha Dhupia hopes to squeeze in a hit with Singh is Kinng.

She plays Julie in the film, a bold and beautiful girl in a gang of goons, headed by Sonu Sood's Lucky.

Singh Is Kinng will release on August 8.

When a eunuch bowled Salman over!

Salman Khan will have a unique contestant on his television game show, 10 Ka Dum, this weekend.

Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, a eunuch, reduced the audience to tears with her quick wit, humour and nakhras.
Even Salman, a showman himself, gave Laxmi centrestage. The eunuch, who made news when a documentary on her life was screened at the Mumbai festival and television channels, was the next contestant in the knockout round along with Aditya Prabhu and Manpreet Singh. Though she lost the round, the evening clearly belonged to her.

Salman particularly looked disappointed when Laxmi didn't make it to the next round.
If you think Laxmi is an exception to the eunuch community, watch out for her beautiful companion whom Salman invited as a contestant on the show.
