Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan on Sunday night found himself in trouble after a tiff with photo journalists in Patiala during the shoot of a film. The journalists have lodged a complaint against him and his security guards on the charge of manhandling them.
The incident took place when some photo journalists tried to click photographs of Saif at the railway station where the shooting of the film Three Idiots was on. The two photo journalists--one belonging to a newspaper and the other to local TV news channel--were trying to take shots of the shooting of the movie when Saif objected to this. The actor lodged a complaint against them with the railway police station of Patiala. Several media persons assembled on the Mall Road on Sunday night and demanded action against Saif.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who is town for for a function, sent his political colleagues Prem Singh Chandumajra of Shiromani Akali Dal and Raj Khurana of BJP to pacify the journalists. The journalists later withdrew their protest. Both the journalists have lodged a complaint against Saif and his security guards for manhandling them.
"Railway police registered a case against Saif under Sections 506 (threatening to kill), 341 (assaulting), 536 (cause of damage) of IPC," said IG, GRP, G S Grewal.
According to the sources, Saif and other two involved in the case are likely to be arrested by Grewal.
