If the glittering diamond on Akshay Kumar’s designer pagdi in Singh is Kinng had you applauding, not to be outdone Salman Khan too wished to don the pagdi albeit in an authentic manner.
In the film Heroes, Salman plays a Sardar, and for his character, he wouldn’t allow anyone, but an authentic Sikh to help him wear his turban. A person from the Gurudwara and village used to come on the sets everyday to help Salman with his turban! Interestingly, there are three different styles of pagdis, and Salman tried them all out.
“There are pagdis for different occasions, when Salman was in the fields, he wore the pagdi in a particular way, which was different from the way he would wear it in a Gurudwara or when at home. When he proposed to his girl in the film, he wore it in a different manner yet again,” said a unit member. Let’s balle-balle to Sallu’s efforts for being so true to his character!
