National Zoological Park

Below the southern ramparts of Purana Qila, the open-air enclosure and cages of the Delhi Zoo cover an extensive area of 214-acres. This place was established in 1959. The zoo houses more than 2,000 animals of different species and is considered one of the finest and the biggest in South Asia. This place is also a famous picnic spot.
